A Pocket Card

Here is a cute little pocket card that I made recently. I used Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White card stock. I also used Stampin' Up!'s great new Flowers For You Designer Series Scrapbooking Paper. To make this type of card, cut your 8 1/2"x 11" paper into two pieces each 4 1/4"x 11". Then fold one piece in two to make our usual size card (5 1/2"x 4 1/4"). I then scored one layer at about 2" and folded down. At this point I cut scrapbooking paper to cover the background and the folded flap. For this card I used the new Ronald McDonald House Charity set for this year called Just Like You. I stamped the flowers at the bottom with White Craft ink. I stamped the butterflies with Certainly Celery and the "friend" (from the Everyday Flexible Phrases set) with Tempting Turquoise. I used my Circle Punches to make the cute little tags. And the Ticket Corner Punch and Round Tab punch were used to add some pizazz to the card. The final touch is a little white grosgrain. And viola', a beautiful card. Oh, I do use Sticky Strip (thin, but super sticky double sided tape) to put these together because they really need to be strong.

Why not try one these cards and e-mail me a picture? Then you might be a guest artist and see your card on my website!! :0)
Oh, I forgot to mention the little inside pull out card. The dimensions are approximately 3 1/2" x 5". I cut the Certainly Celery layer and then made the Whisper White layer 1/4" smaller. :0)
