Week Two of Cake Decorating

My daughter and I had our second cake decorating class. Here are our creations for this week....

My daughter used the leftover icing from our first week to make her cake---very colorful and creative! Mine is the plain white one with purple flowers with yellow centers. We are enjoying our class, but we only have one more week. We should learn how to complete the Wilton rose this week.

Here are some cards that I have been working on recently. This is my "Elizabeth" card. Why do I call it that? you ask. Well my good friend, Elizabeth, created this card at one of my camps. I had designed a card using this set and these colors, but she did her own thing at camp and came up with this beauty! Thanks for the inspiration, Elizabeth. This card uses the Doodle This stamp set. The colors are Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and So Saffron. Then lots of Dazzling Diamonds glitter is add to make the card beautiful!!

The other projects that I want to show you today are the gifts that we gave to my girls' music teachers for Christmas. First there are coasters using the Elegant Notes stamp set. I used marble tiles (very important!) and Stazon ink for those. I apologize for the very blurry picture. I've given the coasters away now or I would take a new picture. Secondly, I made them sets of note cards using the same stamp set and Soft Subtles colors. I even made a little holder for the cards.

I hope that each of you are having a wonderful day. It's time for me to sign off for tonight.

Wonderful cakes! I know who to contact on my next Birthday! :-)

I really like those thank-you coasters. Those would be perfect for our "music room". :-P
