Another day....another shell card!!

I am just loving this Seaside stamp set from Stampin' Up! (R). I am so excited with how this card turned out!! I started with Chocolate Chip card stock, then I used the great new Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper that you can see in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Next I used a little piece of Naturals White card stock stamped with Chocolate Chip shells. I made the scalloped edge using the Corner Rounder Punch without the guard on it. I added some Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribbon. The little added accent was done with the Scallop punch (with Soft Sky CS) and the 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches (choc chip and naturals white). My words are from Happy Everything and stamped with Chocolate Chip ink. I used Soft Sky ink to stamp the shell in the background. Isn't this so beautiful?!?
For the inside, I used a layer of Naturals White so that it was easier to see the message that you would write. I stamped some shells in the bottom corner to add a little beauty to the inside.
I really love this stamp set and all of the wonderful things that you can create with it. I can't wait to have a little more time to play with it again. :0)
Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by. I'm getting closer to 5,000 hits every day!!

Crayon Resist Starfish

This card is done using the Crayon Resist Technique. This is an easy technique, but you must start with Glossy White card stock. Then you use a permanent ink, like Black Stazon for this card. Let it dry for a few minutes so that it does not smudge (I've learned that the hard way....benefit from my mistakes!). Then use your white crayon (or another color, if you would like to play around more with the technique) and color in some areas that you would like to remain white. Next you can use a brayer, if you would like one color all over your glossy card stock, or you can use q-tips or sponge daubers like I did for this card so that I had a variety of colors on the image. (I used Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss, Creamy Caramel and Bashful Blue for my starfish image. I think that you can see the picture a little larger if you click directly on it.) Once you have fully colored your art, then take a tissue and gently rub around it and any ink that has stuck to the spots where you colored with crayon will come right off, leaving the white card stock showing through. And this is CRAYON RESIST. :0) Fun!! Now, you go and give this technique a try and send me some pictures of your artwork!! (If you give me permission, I will even put the pictures on my blog and give you credit.)

The other picture shows the other fun thing that I did with this card. I used my small oval punch on the top layer of the card. Then I stamped my "for you" words through the hole, so that they are on the inside of the card. Then I used a piece of the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware from the Occasions Mini catalog around the oval opening!!! Just the right size and shape...almost like Stampin' Up! designed it that way!! What do you think?!?

By the way, the Occasions Mini Catalog sales period has been extended until the end of June!! You can an extra month to get all the things that you have been wanting from it. Whoo-Hoo!!

Seaside

I played with my stamps a little bit yesterday. I am going to show you one quick card this morning, and hopefully I will get back later and to show some more. By the way, if you are trying to participate in my Mystery Hostess Show, I am having a little e-mail trouble. Well, actually my e-mail server is upgrading, and in the process I cannot receive my e-mail!!! Just keep trying or give me a call. :0)

Details about my card: I used the new shell stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Seaside and the Happy Birthday comes from the It's Your Birthday stamp set. My color scheme, on a base of naturals white, is Mellow Moss, Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy. I just used some scraps to do the strips, and stamped the shells in the lighter colors and the sentiment in the Navy. So simple, yet I just love it. Of course, I love shells, so it's not surprising that I like this.

Have a blessed day! I've heard from several of you that you are enjoying the Daily Bible verse addition to my blog. I'm so glad.

Bloomin' Beautiful

Have you ordered the set in the Occasions mini catalog called "Bloomin' Beautiful" yet? If not, when are you going to get to it?!? It is so beautiful and versatile. The card above is one that I made for a recent card swap with some other demos. I love the colors together and I played with lots of backgrounds, too. On the little brown piece, I used the En Francais background and the Canvas background, layered on each other. On the Cameo Coral background piece, I used the Color Spritzer Tool to make little "drops" of chocolate chip ink. And do you like to large eyelet on the front? Those are so much fun to use. And I used my Crop-a-dile to put it on the card.

I hope that you like my card today! I'm getting close to 5,000 views of my blog, and with that comes some blog candy. Check back daily and enjoy the new Bible verse, too. Have a blessed day!

A few more cards

Here are some more cards that I made a few days ago. I was just playing around, having fun with lots of different sets and colors. I made these cards specifically to send to people. I did this because my usual my problem is either that I make cards and never get them sent or I need certain types of cards (like sympathy) and don't have any! I've been working on building up my supply of cards so that I have them on hand ready to go out when I need them! I hope that you enjoy these cards. :0)

Right now, I'm getting ready to go out of town for a couple of days then I'm having a Premier Jewelry party!! Wanna come? Well, you are invited. Just e-mail me for more details!!!

Also, keep an eye on my blog. I'm getting close to having more blog candy!!! Keep looking and commenting! I will also be having a Mystery Hostess Stampin' Up! show. I'll be putting the details out about that soon.

Have a blessed day!!

I'm Alive!!

I am so sorry that I haven't been by to add any new pictures lately. Life is just so busy these days. I did some stamping last weekend, so I am going to just put some pictures for you to enjoy. To save some time, I'm not going to put details, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. You can just leave a comment with your e-mail address included and I will reply to you. Also, if you leave a comment, make sure to do the little thing that requires you to type the letters that you see. That feature is added so that only people can leave comments, not computer programs---okay, I'm sure that is not computer talk, but bottom line is that it means less junk comments for me!!!

Enjoy these projects and have a wonderful day!!! By the way, do you like the new addition of a daily Bible verse? I hope it works! :0)
